@adsm08 The transmission in my son’s 2018 Equinox seems to now be dying.  It will only go 40 mph like it is in a limp home mode. After changing the transmission oil he drove it 5-6 miles and rechecked oil level at plug and it was good. The old oil was really black. He’s down on himself for killing it when he tried to do the correct maintenance on it. I wonder if changing the oil without being able to replace the internal filter dislodged some crud that go stuck in the electronic valves.   I guess theirs always a chance some metal shaving got in it when I drilled the broken bolt out, but I sure tried to keep everything plugged and tin cleaned really well. He hasn’t taken to a shop for any diagnostics. He bought the car about 4 years ago with around 60k miles and now at 122k miles. Any thoughts or suggestion you could share would be appreciated.

Thinking turbo bypass valve or wastegate. Any check engine light?

Finished up some keyracks. I need to add the “lighter knob” and “generator light bezel” on the next batch.

Preparing for a vacation on the lower Chesapeake.

Repaired some crabbing gear and loaded up.

Then put Barry in charge of keeping the crows out of my tomatoes and squash.

I don’t see any family resemblance, thank goodness!  ;)

Drove to the Steam Pageant grounds today to mow the grass on my site. As customary as to not get run over by a garbage truck, You pull over onto the shoulder way early before turning. As I did I realized just ahead was a pile of manure left over from a leaky Honey Wagon!  No way to avoid it. I got out of the Ridgeline at the site and exclaimed, " It sure stinks around here!"  When I got home and pulled into the garage I got out and said "Yup still stinks!" :o Went to the car wash and got back home. "Yup still stinks!" :( This one is gonna take a bit! :helmet:

That's a sh!tty thing to do to a self-respecting Ridgeline!

Today we said goodbye to George.

Was George one of your pups?

I'm sorry to hear that.

No, George was an old friend, in every sense of the word.

I'd known him since I was 10, maybe younger, and he was when he died. He had a very gentle way of correcting out-of-line youngsters to the point that I didn't realize how he'd done it with me until years later.

Man, this thing sure cuts nice for a 50 year old machine!

My stuff is all in the 60-year range, and I don't think I've ever had a nicer cut.

There are a few spots where my grass gets very thick and I have to go in 1st gear, and sometimes make two passes, but the end product is so nice.

I'm sorry for your loss.  He sounds like he was a great person.

May his memory be a blessing.
