Now systems here in my area all have to be engineered systems because we have so much clay and it doesn't perk well.  Expensive!!!

My water softener goes out to the road ditch out front as does the washing machine.

 

No septic company would even look at my septic system for repair.

The only option is a new system as they need to bring it up to the latest code ($$$).

 

Made my $100.00 repair seem good.

I have very sandy soil so drainage is not an issue.

No water softener, but my gray  water goes down the gravel road to the state road.    Eco friendly for sure....diluting the tons of salt PENDOT sprays on the road.

Replaced the electric window motor on the drivers side door of my Frontier. The old mechanism’s cable was frayed and got stuck in the motor wheel and eventually just  kept the window in the down position.

@Mickwhitt   went over a throttle linkage hiccup , turned out it was a tye wrap  , just glancing  on the  linkage , wiring must have moved over time , as it settled in , hindering  full  smooth action , while there  also found some other areas to enhance . my mower decks turn with ease , at the mule drive , belt point , by hand , also  ex condition of  belts , no fraying or cracking . since going after  my related pulleys , for lubrication up grade , been years now , no pully whine , and engagement  is smooth and easy . put a drop of super lube hydraulic , lube on my heim joints , and cable end  drip access , all move with smooth ease . topped up fuel , and added an ounce of STA BIL  fuel additive , absolutely  stops fuel hose break down . experiment that works , eliminated all related old fuel hose , replace with new , then started using STA BIL , filters are always clean / clear , no debris in fuel bowl or tank , instant starts , pete

I've installed a few of those myself and if no kids are using the shower I've even removed the hot water limiter completely and it got super hot if I wanted it to.

The recently purchased Horses Hauler trailer got some dandy new DOT Conspicuity Tape. 

The back of the fenders, sides of the fenders, and rear tailgate area all have added visibility.  

 

I added 4 vertical stripes and a horizontal stripe to the gate.

The gate is 1" square tubing. The tape is nearly 2" wide.

The sides have two directional sight. 

The bottom of the gate has tape visible while the gate is upright or laying down in the trailer.

It's a high density poly something that is marketed to the salt water boat industry. 

My thought here is to attach a 1" wide strip to the back of the top of the gate which is the part that hits the ground when the gate drops.  

I was able to use the square and razor to repeatedly score the surface followed by snapping the 1" strip off the edge.  

 

To hold it on the trailer I'm thinking of using several self tapping flat pan screws.  

Other suggestions welcome.

@ebinmaine Stainless or a rust treated screws that aren’t Phillips might be a good idea too so they aren’t rusted into the ramp later.

I have a neighbor about 1/4 mile away with that tape on a trailer.  He parks it in a way that headlights shine on it, annoying as hell.

@WHX?? hiding in plane site ?  note the oil stain on the plow quadrant area ?  personally think a lubrication soak down would be the perfect patina for that period  horse . let the oil do all the work , penetrating oil  soak down spray / for days weeks , prefer in a sunny area , for metal heating , wipe down with a clean cloth , mineral oil , same soak  thought , brought out  perfect patina with electric palm buffer , mild cleaning wax , maintain that with  periodic  light oil rub down , pete

@PWL216   like a chain and cable lubricant  , napa , MACKS  cable spray , also use chain and cable spray inside of all my  closed car areas ?  in a couple of days , there will be a related track on / in lower door seaming , wheel wells , thats a great leader  for heavier  open gear lube tracking , stops rust , pete

I was hoping you would chime in with all there. Looks to be unmolested to boot. 

Leave as is fer sure ... patina to die for. 

A guy I sold a tractor to last year at portage has it and currently does not run. Kohler so shouldn't take much to get it running right? 

This guy collects but if it doesn't run sends them on. To me getting them running is all the fun.

BBT will tell ya, if it turns over and has any compression, it will run. It's a Kohler.
