I have a 416H. I almost died when the dealer told me the cost of a starter. Make sure your sitting down when you find out. Are you positive it's the starter that's bad?

I don't know where you are in VA, but there is a decent starter/gen shop here in Richmond.

3/4"  ????     :confusion-confused:        Are you running a top fuel dragster?         I use 1/4" rubber fuel line, think most do the same.

I have a good working starter from a 520-H model 41-200E02 that should match the Onan 16hp engine in your model 51-160E02.

Lacated in N/W PA but can ship anywhere.  $55 + ship....   Interested:   send me an off-site email..

I am:  daveoman@windstream.net

I've switched over to using blue see through line I bought from Lincoln at A to Z tractor.

I have also used tygon but it's pricey.

I like to be able to see the fuel moving.

Onan starters are right in a location where they get dirt and dust in them. every couple of years, i have to take mine off and clean and lube the thing and all is good.

My Anniversary 520 hasn't had the starter off since I bought it new, I guess it depends how its taken care of.

"Update* Put on new;Battery, Starter, spark plugs, ignition coil,,fuel lines,,fuel oil & air filters, key switch, turn the key relay clicks, oil pressure light flashes, nothing happens. Jump to the starter engine turns over, Key switch passes continuity, test switch activates warning lights. we think we are missing some safety switch.the seat switch is shorted from previous owner, I need help please. Im a gear head and Wheel Horse fan, in Fredericksburg Va. My problem is I'm quadriplegic from a motorcycle accident in 2005, and cant wrench like before. I hope that there is a similar gear head out there, locally, who would work on this with me. Message me for further discussion.

Howard, @857 horse lives in that general area. If he can't help he may know someone who can.
