Chris G 3,274 #1 Posted September 5, 2018 I have a 14hp kohler that has the triangle coil and no points. I know I can add points to the engine with out a problem. But what else is needed to hook up a regular coil and get rid of the triangle coil set up?
Chris G 3,274 #2 Posted September 5, 2018 (edited) I guess I wrote that kind of odd. I want to get rid of the breakerless ignition and go to the standard points set up. Edited September 5, 2018 by Chris G
JAinVA 4,619 #3 Posted September 5, 2018 (edited) Is this an M series engine? If it is then points can't be added without some machining of the block. Edited September 5, 2018 by JAinVA

Chris G 3,274 #5 Posted September 5, 2018 @953 nut thanks for the link. I pretty much knew what I had to do just wanted to verify. @Aldon thanks for making a nice thread for us to follow along with. It was a great help. 2
