roadapples 6,983 #1 Posted May 5, 2018 (edited) Spoke to Howard (857horse) this evening and got the OK to pass this on. As you know he hasn't been on in a while. He has lost a good bit of sight in one eye and it's hard to see the computer. He's still working and in good spirits. Can't drive at night. Will find out the week before the big show if he's a candidate for an operation. If so full recovery is possible. Still planning on being at the show. Terry @Vinylguy, Howard said he'd like to get in on your offer and wondered if you could use a picture on here. Hopefully not one of him sleeping. Was going to call him. didn't know if he could even see a screen well enough to use FB. Sure wouldn't be the same without him. The best advice a doctor can give after surgery is to rest the body part that has been operated on. We all know you are well qualified to rest your eyes. 857 horse 2,581 #19 Posted June 6, 2018 Wow,,,,,I cant believe I heard about this post.....and today was the DOCTOR day......doctor says the are 3 approaches to this,,,,,and I failed 2 ,,,,,,,,,,,,We go back in 2 weeks...........I will be sure the date is ifter the show,,,, and so you know......all these typos are from sight issues,,,,,,, typing and reading leaves me with bad headaches,,,,,,,,but I must confess having diabetes and not following docs orders is leaves this result,,,my cell# changed leave a note,,,,i will forward it to all my buds.....( all of you ) !!!!!!!!!! No nnight driving...and the issue is very draining.....always tired,,,,,,,,and that I CANT TAKE !!!! LOLOLOL I wi;ll be at the show,,,,,,,bringinig 2 perhaps 3 to sell......... This makes a person feel good,,,,,,and thank you guys for the notes of encouragement,,!!!!!!!!!!! On the other hand,,,,,me slowing down will let a few of you keep up ...LOLOLOLOLO,,,,,,,,,,OH I GOT NEW ID CARDS TO HANG ON THOSE NECKS !!!! Racinbob 11,004 #21 Posted June 6, 2018 We can lead each other around at the show Howard. I found out I have to have surgery on both eyes a couple weeks ago. The game plan was to have a preliminary visit and then the surgery after that. I made it clear to them that the preliminary could be done in June but the surgery will have to wait until July. I'm happy to hear that you will be making the show. The Mash pole wouldn't be the same without you. You need to take care of yourself and if that means slowing down, taking a nap or whatever you need I'm betting the guys here will back off on the good natured harassment and fully understand. You might want to post what you're bringing.
