these front weights

You ever measure or trial fit those?

I have a set that appears the same. Mine were BACK weights for a TEN inch rear  wheel.

I've never set them on/ in an 8" front.

Yeah, I've had them mounted temporarily. The problem I have is that the gates on my property are 48" and depending on the off-set on the rims these can be too wide.

It’s still roaring.

May not be applicable, but I recently replaced the blade on my small push rotary mulching mower and discovered the old blade--worn out, but sharp and balanced--was slightly bent. With the new blade, it is quieter and no longer acts like a blower pushing cuttings out from under the sides.

@Handy Don Since I swapped out the deck, I’ll check that out.

Welcome.

And like many will say this is a good machine to have/own.

If yea ask a few fellas around this page do a service on it. Specially the rear dif.

My current c100 I just recently bought was in need of a change and my old 410-8 I used to own was well past due for it. There's a rubber boot on your shift only a few dollar part replace it. My 410-8 ended up with a hung up high low range and caused me some headache.

I'm sure some others here will speak of some other things I'm not as sure of.

Welcome to the page.

You wanna know something about anything with wheel horses and the folks here will fibs you right up.

Forgot to mention, looks like the grass screen is missing from motor in pics, if it is I would find a replacement before I used it much (especially mowing). You would be surprised at the air that gets sucked in there.

Thanks for picking up on that! I kept thinking that there had to have been a screen on there but there are no mounting holes for one. Now that I know there is supposed to be one I’m assuming it’s a press in style screen with a lip on the inside?

I see another safety issue besides the flywheel screen, the mower deck is missing the pulley guards.  If you ever let your foot slip while mowing those hills you might have a serious wound, ask me how I know.

@pfrederi @DLF and @sqrlgtr thanks for the info! I’ll get the engine data when I get home from work.

@lynnmor I am going to definitely take your advice and find those pulley covers. Much appreciated!

Any places to check online for the pulley covers?
