MainelyWheelhorse 2,028 #24751 Posted Wednesday at 11:10 PM After a lull, today was fix up the seat, touch up the latch for the hood, and get the overspray off the drive lever on the C-141 day. Not a ton of time invested. I figured I’d spruce it up for the new decals that are on the way.

The spindle shaft speed is the same, but the blade tip speed is definitely higher. No added baffling on this one, but it works very well. I dig the diamond plate! Though about that route and wondered if it would be dangerously slick? Looks nice

It's not as grippy as I'd hoped but I had them bent up for me 20+ years ago so I've stayed with them. Best so far is what I put on the 523-H. Those things are like magnetic gravity boots! Wherever you set your feet, they stay. 3
Wheelhorse#1 1,863 #24755 Posted Thursday at 06:42 PM Finally got to replace the O-rings in the pump for the Hydro motion control on my 1973 12 auto. Thanks to @pfrederi he was kind to send them to me . I decided to have a go without separating the trans. It’s doable thanks to the cut out on the right side ,was able to remove the motion control out of the way enough to replace the o-rings. hard part was putting it all back together. Some how one seal was smashed as if someone had this apart at some point and didn’t line it up correctly. I also replaced the axle seals wile I was it. Already for winter, hope fully we get some snow this yr 3
sqrlgtr 941 #24756 Posted Thursday at 06:57 PM Finished spraying wheels and installing new bearings for the C-160. Put mew brake lining that came from @rmaynard and went ahead and replaced brake shaft seal while I was into it and replaced lug bolts with studs. Sure makes mounting them loaded tires and wheels easier. 5

Engine seems to have good compression when I pulled it through. It will take some work to get going. Gas tank is rusty inside. It needs to be cleaned and sealed. I already found the correct hitch on eBay. 2

sqrlgtr 941 #24765 Posted Friday at 10:43 PM Put the newly painted vredenstien tires and wheels back on the C-160 today. I dont know why they appear so white in pic. The shade is more like the back wheels. Its Rustoleum Canvas white which I went to after they quit making the Navajo white which I liked just a little bit better.

Its closest thing that I could find to the Navajo. I will try the Cottage if I see any around have to make a hardware store run in a day are two anyhow. Maybe some of the bigger box stores will have some. You have any pics of the Cottage white on wheels. I know pics can be deceiving sometimes though .

This is the color we use on ALL of our wheels and several engines as well.

702854boy 213 #24771 Posted Saturday at 04:51 PM Last Monday I painted some wide rims for the back of a lawn ranger ivory white and then last night we mounted some 18 9.50 8 field master ag tires that we got for free back in June because our township was doing a tire clean up day and someone got rid of four of those tires so we snagged them up. 2
Sparky-(Admin) 23,712 #24772 Posted Saturday at 07:13 PM I’ve plowed with the GT-1600 (Kohler 14 Magnum swapped) for many many years. Thinking I might try my 520-8 with the swept axle (also a Kohler Magnum swapped rig). Started moving tires and weights and lug stud kit setups from one to the other. I swapped those rears without removing the 75 pounds of cast weight per wheel!! That was a chore!! Still have to decide which 48” plow this new plow rig will receive. I have a couple 5 sectors, it’ll definitely be one of those. The GT-1600 looks funny back in its regular tires/wheels. Not sure what will happen with the GT-1600 now, backup plow rig? Maybe sell? Maybe??? 5

ebinmaine 74,342 #24774 Posted Saturday at 07:47 PM I've been out behind the garden, off to the right in the forest. Pulled a hung tree partially over. Then chipped a few small branches. Looked at tugging another tree but I need more space to operate the tractor. We'll try that tomorrow. Friends scheduled for suppahh here this afternoon. 😀
