Should be a 265 now, give or take.  With the flat tops, I’m not sure of the compression numbers.

‘56 Nomad.  It was Uncle Steve’s customer’s I guess.  He can tune a hot rod like no other around here…

@ebinmaineI could be wrong but I think some of them came from the factory that would dump? Or maybe I’m just hoping they did!

Thanks for bringing back that memory. I remember seeing both step-side and fleet-side dumpers. Maybe a aftermarket installation?

The camper is 70s Ford van cab with the RV body grafted to it.

Claudia and I went on our annual daddy/daughter motorcycle road trip a couple weeks ago and saw this classic piece of IH history on Washington Island WI…F13011F3-7359-4688-BB13-4CA382927E84.jpeg.d6b4bfa866a436436cda9545ce0b7923.jpeg

looked rough but actually a very restorable machine…D3FAA892-C1D5-4A08-A340-853378E65057.jpeg.9a2ee1ec5601d9e71838f479aa614390.jpeg

or if you like the patina look, get the drivetrain up and running, install new tires, and run it😎

Mrs. P’s company has a car show on Thursday, August 10.  Yesterday, she and I discussed getting “Ole’ Smoky” out of mothballs.  No, we don’t actually use mothballs… it’s just been stored far too long.  I tossed a battery in it, cranked it over until oil pressure presented itself on the gauge, then rapped the throttle a few times and cranked it again.  Oh that sound!

A desperate bath was in need.  Tires are also.  There will be a tractor in the back for the show.  It’s been a catch all for a while, from spare camping gear to K91s and everything in between.

Such irony, we decide to get the truck out yesterday and today had a couple hours for a motorcycle ride.  We literally stumbled into a car show in a neighboring town.

There were so many rides, and so little time.  We enjoyed the scenery more than trying to capture it.

Nice!  At ‘05 Electra Glide.  “The couch on wheels”

I had these AR-767 wheels and some old 32x11.50-15s I figured I’d try on for size.   I like a bigger tire under these, instead of dropping them with smaller tires.

It felt great to drive it a couple miles tonight!  The clutch chatters a bit, but it always has.  That three on the tree and warm 350 feel so good!

One of the reasons I love Norman so much, is the throwback design of the hood compared to this ‘69.  Classic looks for Chevy!

Yes I do, but it has no plans to make me any money!  :handgestures-thumbupright:  It’s in the will to be Jada’s some day, like the Senior will by Rylee’s.

I found a good used set of 31x10.50-15 Mickeys in town today.  They are WIDE on these 10” wheels!

Creative use of bead sealer and the tire machine allows me to seat the bead by myself!  I need a CHEETAH tank!

While it was on the lift, it got a fresh oil change.  I don’t know if I’ve ever topped off the tank, in 12-13 years of ownership.  I stuck $89 and some change of rec fuel in and that should last a few days!  I never balanced the tires, just popped all the old weights off and mounted ‘em up.  No shimmy or shake at 55, good enough for who it’s for!

One might wonder, how many times the odometer has rolled over in 54 years?
