How do I bolt it down and which bolts on the engine do I use? :confusion-confused:I never saw it bolted down. The PO unbolted the bracket.

This is how I hooked it up now but the cable housing separated at the other end. Is there a way to refasten it or do I need a new cable?

First question, how the heck did you manage to get the picture of the under side of the dash? If I attempted that I would have to call 911 to get back out!       :auto-ambulance:

I have never attempted to attach the jacket back into the thingy  :thingy:  on the dash, hope someone can tell us how it is done.

The outer sleeve on mine broke about half way down.  I found a piece of heat shrink tubing to fit and snugged her up.  Still works great.  Maybe do the same on yours and slide a length of small rubber fuel line up over it for extra support - should be fine.

I removed the screws from the dash and slid it up the steering shaft and turned it 90 degrees.

:handgestures-thumbupleft::text-thankyouyellow:  I'm gonna have to try that sure beats installing a new cable :)

Yup, beats the cost of a new cable too.  My wallet likes those home fixes.  If you're careful, no one will ever know you fixed the cable - looks fine.

Get good heat shrink with glue in it. Buy some of those blue butt connectors with the heat shrink coating. Push out the connector part, that stuff works reall good. Super stiff when cooled off.

I found this on amazon:

My heat shrink came today and I put one piece on a little larger than the cable, hit it with a heat gun, and then put a slightly larger piece over it for more strength and hit that with the heat gun. Then I hooked up the clamp and choke lever and it works great! :greetings-clappingyellow::text-thankyouyellow:@dells68 and @19richie66 I used adhesive based shrink tubing and I'm very pleased with the results :banana-rock:and :text-thankyouyellow: @953 nut for the :text-coolphotos:

Glad it worked for you!  Looking good.  Still no pic of my exhaust brace.  I'll try to get to it soon!
