Huntemcd 239 #1 Posted November 24, 2016 I finally got my raider 8 all ready for snow. I just put the wheel weights on tonight and yes they are jd wheel weights. Do you think I would need chains to blow snow. I'm not gonna be blowing a ton of snow maybe 6" at most. Who else is ready to blow some snow?!
wallfish 15,986 #2 Posted November 24, 2016 Can't go wrong with chains, especially when you lift the blower. Even with those wheel weights it will get light in the rear with the blower up. That cab looks brand new Noticed in your pic, the wire for the chute rotation is over one of the guides
Huntemcd 239 #3 Posted November 24, 2016 There's 100 pounds on that rear end and those tires are really aggressive. Yes your right I have to mess with that cable. And the cab is brand new it's an nos cab. It's a 1977 and I got it for $100 and never put together. 15 minutes ago, wallfish said: Can't go wrong with chains, especially when you lift the blower. Bring - it - on ! Looks good. The only reason I have that snow blower is because it was cheap. We used snow blade for a lot of years and this will be the first using a blower. But of coarse I have my dad's wheel horse with the blade on and I have my farmall cub with a blade for backup. I think I will be set this winter.

Being in the "Snowbelt" a blade won't do me any good when it arrives in multiple "feet".
