@formariz    Thanks for the memories, doesn't get much better than Jeff Beck playing Little Wing with a white Fender Strat with a Rosewood fretboard using his thumb and no pick, Hendrix , Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughn also do a nice rendition of that song .

did not know Beck did not use a pick

99% of the time he does not. He has very unique and interesting techniques  that makes him sound unlike anyone else. Many times that right hand of his is plucking strings, working the whammy bar , and the level control at the same time. He can also play anything. Some great rockabilly playing videos of him out there.

That specific one is one of his favorites which he plays constantly. Its made for him from a few different guitars by Fender Custom Shop builder J.W.Black. He has big hands and most of his guitars have an extra thick neck.

as my kid (youngest) grew and matured his preference in neck size / shape has changed -  so he's been acquiring and changing and swapping necks on his strats

two of his more recent builds below - the ocean turquoise strat has hot gold lace sensor pickups I believe Jeff Beck used at one time (and/or they were featured on a special Beck model strat)

One of the great aspects about his playing is the element of surprise. He never plays the same rendition the same way twice. There is always something new and unique to expect and  look forwards to. Always searching for new sounds and how to make them. I believe that in order to really appreciate all he does one has to look closely at his hands. The number of different things he does with his right hand at the same time  and the speed at which he does it is mind boggling. Unless one is looking at it attentively one would never notice.

The Gold Lace Sensor pickups were offered on the first series of the Jeff Beck Signature Strat  at around the late 90s

I believe Clapton and Beck might have been among the early / better known guitarists to use Lace Sensor pickups (?) - but for many (including my youngest kid) it was the Billy Corgan mid 90's Red - Silver - Blue combination that added notoriety

this strat with red-silver-blue combo is especially versatile and has a good punch

EARWORM REMOVAL TOOL

I don't listen to classical music much if at all. This is my home remedy for an 'earworm reset'.

It's right up there with a big teaspoon of peanut butter for hiccups.

This has never failed to clear a recurring song in my head.

A 210 year old composition and a 60 year old recording. The old timers knew stuff...
