Nice job making it custom to what you want. :laughing-rofl: Can't wait to see the name you decide on.

I'm going to keep it simple 516 C for Custom...and as soon as the snow is gone, I'm going to get mud on it! :teasing-poke: :laughing-rolling:

Boy I'll tell ya Gary, every time I see those Vredstein tires on the front of it I keep thinking I should have gone that route on my 18 auto. That is one sexy machine.... I REALLY like those tires!!!!

Yeah Hodge, it's pretty neat sitting in that seat looking down at the front axle, seeing the ball joints and the hubs. The tires just top it off. The whole tractor looks so much heavier.

I was thinking about summer turfs but maybe not. I also thought about a stack but not sure. I cut around trees so may not be a good idea and the factory exhaust with the heat shield is really a clean look. I'm really happy with what it is.

Hydro, that is a great custom build, but it almost begs for a custom hood. Maybe something like a IH Cub grille. Or a '32 Ford?

Is that forward swept axle a drop in to a C series frame?

Thanks. :) I get it but that would take me beyond my skill level and that might be a bad thing. :disgust:

I'm thinkin the Ford idea would be the best. As I recall the cub grill is pretty open.

Is that forward swept axle a drop in to a C series frame?

I think it would fit but I'm not100% sure. Perhaps someone else might know.

I’m building a lowered 300 series wheelhorse. So far it’s a combination of 3 scrap tractors.
the frame, trans and tins are from a GT2500 anniversary special given to me by a neighbor with a trashed Briggs. The Kohler M12 is from a junkyard 312 that was roached. The parts tractor I’m using for the build was another older 312. I’ve got the k301 in the garage. The trans was toast. Both axles wallowed out keyways and 1 axle actually broken.
Anyway! I needed a project and a toy to putt around the neighborhood. I couldn’t find any other posts on how to do the whole thing. I’m trying to keep it cheap using stuff I have on hand and looking as “stock but cooler” as possible. So here we go.
I’ll update this as I go along.

A while ago I picked up a Canadiana 5hp heavy duty tiller. It features forward and reverse control and you could buy add on implements for it.

My example unfortunately suffered a catastrofic engine faillure a.k.a. 'window' in the block. Hence it was cheap so I picked it up. The idea I had for it was to mount it on the rear of my 'Murray to IH 1568' build. However since I bought a Wheel Horse i've been thinking about mounting it on the front of that tractor.
      This is what i'm thinking..
