Nice find at the local flee market today

Recommended Posts

I found this at the flee market today. I know KenB was there before me and he must have missed it :D Can anyone tell me what models this one fits? I am 99% sure it is for the RJs Got it home, put some of my "used oil" potion on it and it moves nice. All the teeth are in place and will make a nice addition.

Paid $25 bucks for it...

Anyone have a manual for this ? I believe it to be a cbr-32 but the mounting hardware looks different than others I have seen.

Really nice score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The mount looks just like the one that came with my RJ. Here's the engagement pedal too.

1960 CBR-32 ...

The only part you are missing is the foot pedal and collars from what I can see ...

Fits the RJ and Suburbans, and could be mated to just about any short frame tractor up to the 1961 551 ...

Looks just like this one ...

Here's the manual ...

Worth $500.00 on eBay, and $750 restored ...

I agree with Fireman, you are a dog! You stole it from the poor man! :thumbs2:

Here's some more pictures of the foot pedal I just sent to Denny not too long ago ...

Doesn't that pedal sit kind of low when engaged? Looks like it should come out horizontally from the piece it's welded to instead of facing down.

Do you want to buy the rest of it?

I bought one from Stevebo at ynot's M & G but have another. What ever happened to Tony anyway? Haven't seen him post in a very long time.

Not really, it's just out of the way from your heel and just a toe-grab when dis-engaging. Actually it looks like yours is bent the wrong way John. Check the manual image for item #4.

John,

No idea what happened to Tony. I actually have one of the front sickle bar mowers. I got it when Steve and I bought those 5 tractors from the old Wheel Horse dealer. Just haven't done anything with it. I'm down to 3 :banghead: tractors now and may soon be down to 2 :thumbs2: .

This is my 1959 rj-58 I bought from the original owner and the CBR-32 sickle bar that came with it. I replaced all the cutter knives on it.

Can someone please post up some good clean shots of a full and correctly mounted CBR-32 with belts, engagement pedal and all?  I've spent an hour looking though old posts, and can't find a good shot of a complete one installed.

Posted here and/or in the gallery  be appreciated.

      Thanks!

Does anyone have a close-up picture showing both ends of the CBR-32 Pitman Arm? If so, could you post it please.
