I would like to put a 23hp Kohler command in my C-85 how electronically could I wire it up to run off a key?

As far as I know the only thing it needs electronically to run the engine separately, is a key switch that at least by part number is the same as the Magnum’s. What else do I need electronically to be able to run it in my C-85? I assume I’d need a small rectifier like the Magnum’s as well, possibly a solenoid. At least this time I have a good idea what it needs but I’m completely new to the Commands. Thanks!

The solenoid is mounted on your starter and the voltage regulator / rectifier is the same as any magnum, it is probably already mounted near the flywheel fan.

That C-85 looks very familiar Justin. Engine looks nice in there. Good luck

Ok, I’ll give it a look. Once I saw the parts start coming back as also magnum parts I thought this might not be a C-141 level repower.
