Thegearhead0324 1,601 #1 Posted 6 hours ago I have a quick question, looking through the forum I think I found the answer, but on my 1257, the brake drum shaft seal, would part number SKF 7410 be the correct seal? I see rock auto has one and wanted to make sure. Thank you.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 12,298 #2 Posted 4 hours ago Best to compare the specs against what you want to replace. Notice the CR/SKF seal numbers closely represent the shaft size. 3/4" shaft or .750" is close to the 7410 seal number.
702854boy 906 #3 Posted 3 hours ago SKF seal #9815 is the seal that you need for the brake drum, it is the same as the axle seals on 1 inch axles.

ri702bill 12,329 #5 Posted 1 hour ago Best to stay away from the off-brand not-made-around-here cheap knockoffs. Unless you want to do the job over... Note the CR ad gives a Speedi-Sleeve P/N too. Great to fix a gouged up shaft.

rmaynard 17,368 #7 Posted 16 minutes ago I get mine from NAPA auto parts. They are made from steel as opposed to Toro which are plastic.
