@pfrederi Is that a C-48 or a C-60 Sweepster Broom ? It looks bigger than my C-48. Also I’d like to see better pictures of your caster wheels on the broom, mine doesn’t have any and I’d like to add some to maybe do a little de-thatching of my lawn.

I will take some pics in the morning I find the casters to be a necessity I have tried different set ups  The pneumatic tires failed (Cheap Chinese tires )

Some pics Angle iron and sq tube 3/4 rod welded to a square plate that you can bolt the caster to.

I had pneumatic tires but the kept going flat or ruptured the side walls.  Using old deck wheels now.  They sink in more when it is soft but at least they hold up.

I live on a hill and have near constant breeze my annual sweep the rocks back on to the road should take an hour or so but usual spread over a couple days waiting for the wind to die or be in the right direction even so the thatch it picks up blows all over mostly back on me.

It is 48"wide

The electric lift is glacially slow

I hit a deadlift record this week, 370 lbs.  385 whooped me, but I’ll get it soon.  :handgestures-thumbupright:

I got her as she had a nice deck and as a hydro wanted to use her with the cyclo-vac in the fall.  Also I prefer Sunstrands for snow horse duties.  They are not  finicky about warming up before the hydro lift will work as some eatons are.  The 418A was removed from snow duty years ago as she had to warm before she would raise tha snow blower to drive it out of the shop.  And the Sunstrands have the 10 pinion LSD.

Wow I guess I never gave much thought to that but makes complete sense. That explains some things. LOL!!

Nice Horses , It gets expensive changing the oils out every year though.

I've heard a lot of people say that over the years but it really doesn't change anything if you have one tractor with five separate implements.. or five different tractors.

Oil is changed out primarily by the ENGINE hours, and secondarily by TOTAL time.

As long as it is kept less than 3 to 5 years old total, it doesn't need to be swapped out annually if you use the tractor less than the required change interval.

Takes a few years to get to the 100 hour change window Especially on the snowblower tractor..  I may go 5-6 years the ATF looks like new when I do change it.

out of 7 tractors I have I change 3 of them every season but their the most used during the summers. No matter if 100 hrs or not, if it’s dirty looking I change it. But that’s me I guess. Lol

Oh absolutely..... I'm certainly NOT saying to go over the recommended change interval.

What I'm saying is that if a machine gets used 5 or 10 hours a year theres no point in changing the oil annually.

Ours get changed around 25 - 30 hours of use. (None of ours has a filter.)
