rmaynard 17,169 #1 Posted March 29 To all Vietnam Vets and Vietnam Era Vets, thank you for your service. Today is Vietnam Veterans Day. I was reminded of this by an email to pickup a free sandwich at Mission BBQ today. Just walk in and show a copy of the email or your credentials. 2 6

ML3 2,319 #12 Posted March 30 Thanks to the veterans for their service. My dad was an Army Vietnam veteran. His exposure to agent orange is believed to be a contributor to his heart problems which ultimately cost him his life at just 79yrs old 🇺🇸

He will not talk about it. What he has talked about was stuff he said no one should ever have to see. He also is battling cancer at the moment.

Mickwhitt 5,259 #15 Posted March 31 Cannot imagine the horror of fighting in Vietnam. Or any of the modern wars that despite the smart weapons and drones etc, still need men and women to stand to the enemy face to face. We don't need any more wars, but we do need warriors, ready to make the ultimate sacrifice to keep our world peaceful. God bless all service personnel.
kwalshy 258 #16 Posted March 31 (edited) My Dad, Lt Lewis Walsh was with 1st Air Cav Charlie Company platoon leader and served in 1970-'71. Over the past few years he's been able to start talking about some of his experiences; I can't imagine what he went through. I am very proud of his service and honored to be his son. For anyone interested or knows of a 1st Air Cav vet: C. Company History A big THANK YOU to all the other 'Nam Vets. Edited March 31 by kwalshy
