Well here is an interesting development!

This truck I want to build of my father's....

Turns out the guy that used to own that company is a classmate of my mother. She called him and he is going to try to hunt up some pictures.

Niiiiice.

@c-series don

Any chance you have a picture from the side like this but showing the back more?

I'm trying to figure out the proper position of the rear axles compared to the rear bumper.

I was in to HO scale trains when I was a teenager in the 80's, then dropped out of the hobby for all of my 20's, then got in to G scale trains about 25 years ago. Here's my most recent project:

Well Eric, at 5:15 this morning we got dispatched to a car  accident. Car into a pole wires down.No doubt because it’s snowing, probably someone going to fast. Anyway while I was waiting for other guys to get to the firehouse I happened to remember I told you I’d take pictures of the rear of the trailer. So here you go, hope this helps?!

Did a little more on the tanker this morning.

I have a "parts" fuel tanker of a different shape and brand that'll donate its top catwalk. It's a good 4 inches shorter than the total tanker length but it actually looks about right given the age and set up of the original copied subject back in the 1950s.

Here I'm using a Sharpie marker to accent the places needing sanding.

Neat trick I've seen in several YT channels.

Mark the highs/lows/mold creases etc. Sand off the black.

Wash, check, repeat until headed towards satisfaction.

At that point you can either prime and paint or prime layers of opposing colors to sand more and show the areas needing more attention.

Also note that the back of the tank has a large rectangular hole. That would be for a "peddle" truck. There are doors that house the hoses and pump.

I won't be using any of that.

The back of this particular kit doesn't fit worth a :bitch: so I've decided to trace the rear section and make my own tank end.

Some very cool stuff there!

I'm particularly fond of the Maine 2 foot RR.

I had the absolutely wonderful experience of riding them when they were a part of Edaville Railroad in South Carver MA.

Working on getting my modeling desk set up. I got the lighter gray cutting bed/ work surface today. That's 36" wide x 24" deep.

There'll be another set of two narrow metal shelves on top of the white pvc shelf. Then another pvc shelf above those. Basically doubling what's on top of the desk surface now.

I also have several more organizing tools coming. Paint rack. Parts racks. Cubby hole shelves for small & medium tools. Possibly also a divider tray.
The kit on the lower left will be relocated, and the Dremel tool set currently at top right will be on the desk surface off to the side somewhere.
