You can probably do a series on YouTube on fixing up the "Pig in a Poke Motorized Palace" I have no doubt that you can overcome the mechanical and cosmetic issues and keep us all entertained in the process.

@Pullstart - 7.9 mpg in the mountains - that's not much worse than the 5.7 Hemi in the Ram 1500 gets towing our much smaller trailer.  'Course gas is cheaper than diesel.

When looked at from a purely financial perspective fuel should be the highest day-to-day cost of vehicle ownership anyway. If it's not you either have terrible terms on the loan, or you are paying way too much for insurance.

I agree Lynn.  Some people don’t understand that a diesel never stops pumping air.  Huge gain.  Gassers slow down by purely choking the air flow.  I’ll never again buy a vehicle and owe money on it purely based on potential fuel savings.  I can drive pretty far on a monthly payment

Last night, sitting on our concrete patio for a while, we experienced two things.  A spike buck ran up from behind us, snort wheezed a few times, and ran off.  It was about 20’ from us!  Also, the gas portion of the water heater fired up on the RV and we could not figure out how to shut it off, without killing the house batteries.
