What year C160?

The 520H transmission would have been an Eaton 1100.

The C160 was a Sundstrand.

What prompts the question?

Is the hydro in your own C160 Automatic bad?

You won't be swapping out the axles to widen an Eaton 1100 as @19richie66 did in this post but the steps for adapting the brake pedal and speed control linkage would be the same. Read through the thread and you will see how well Richie documented the process.

Keep us updated as you go along and feel free to ask any questions that may come up.

The 1975 8 speed axle bearings in the C160 are very bad, and i was given a older 520H for parts and i had a brainstorm.

Swapping a manual transmission for an automatic is quite the undertaking.

Can it be done?  Sure.

But it's very likely much easier to put a good engine in the 520H chassis....

Good idea.    @daveoman1966   can help with a Sundstrand rebuild.

Sundstrand

Turns out he is working with an 8 speed. @stevasaurus has a great thread to guide you through the rebuild.

I see that now Richard.   The earlier posts were talking Sundstrand.   Thanks for the update.  Probably much easier to redo the 8speed.
