Pretty much every tractor I own has some non-original stuff, and a couple are purely built from spare parts. This one is no different.

The first two actually. And no worries I'm just joking with you because that second pic machine looks so good!

I have a few mods I'm planning to do, but overall this is just gonna be a worker build.

it's not gonna be a trike.

Why not, I think trikes are cool.

No sir. It's an 8 pinion.

@953 nut I like trikes too, but that's not the plan with this one.

@kpinnc just looking at that bare frame , makes me think of the perfect opportunity  to lay in a  5/16 steel brake line for a main fuel line run , also eliminating a lot of  hose debris area ,  each end could have a barb connection  to  clear  fuel rated hose , swage lock fittings , line would tuck into  upper  inside of  frame top bend , out of site . just sayin . pete

@kpinnc lookin good , watch those idler pulleys  , known for undersize bearings and  unknown lubrication , once you can convert a pulley over to the  smooth / free quiet , lubrication , you will never look back . always look for a wide side bearing seal , I know not on those idlers typically , don't want to get you off track , pete

I tinkered a little more today. Got the lift sorted out. Manual lift of course but this will be used to raise a clevis hitch, a tiller, and even a 3-point when needed.

I used a 1.5 inch receiver tube only to make a quick connection to change out lift parts. There will NOT be a ball hitch used here.

I added another tab on the lift arm bell crank, and a hole in the center console for the link to pass through. It doesn't take much travel to make alot of lift on the far end. And the link clears the shifters easily. Still got some reinforcement to add up here.

I'll make up adapters to insert into the rear lift tube for whatever is hanging back there.

Very interesting. Pushing a link rather than pulling a cable. I like it and would suspect you would just need a guide or two to eliminate bow in the linkage when weight is applied.

Don @Lee1977 was here today and we discussed just that. I'll either add a guide with bearings or double the link up.

“T” bar or a welded-on “back” instead of flat bar will give you the lateral strength for anti-bow. It looks like you have the clearance you need.

I was thinking of a triangular shape. Round would be best but 3 pieces welded together would be pretty hard to bend.

A very small thing but it's important: my lift lock spring was worn out. I installed a new one with a bit more tension.
