We had significant amounts of hail, but no big stones.  It sure was hammering the house from random directions, but we never heard the “freight train” that comes along with twisters…

We know a handful of single guys in the area.  Most of them grabbed a beer or two (in case they needed provisions to shelter in place of course) and sat in the garage hoping for a glimpse of it

That’s standard procedure where I’m from

All joking aside glad you didn’t get hit, that sounds like it passed by pretty close

@Pullstart  Kevin - are you okay up there?  I saw that a tornado did major damage in Portage, south of Kalamazoo. That's pretty close to you, no? :eusa-think::pray:

(We're under a tornado watch here in southern Indiana till midnight... :scared-eek: )

@davem1111 I was at the golf course seeking shelter with the whistle pigs in an old shed but there are a handful of members much closer.  @jay bee @bds1984 @Blasterdad @zekepiks how are you holding up?

No tornado here last night, just a pretty strong storm.  Hope everyone else stayed safe.

The closest of the four tornados was three miles from my house.  You'd have never guessed a tornado was that close to me.  It rained for twenty minutes but the wind was non-existent.  I was worried about the 150 year old oak trees in my front yard but there were zero branches in the grass this morning when I left for work at 6:40.

Wow,  close call!   We had one go through about 15 miles from here a year or 2 ago. Took down about 100 trees in a State Park, not sure of other damage.  That was close enough for me.

No damage at my house, but just a few miles east in Portage it is very bad. Many of those pics made the national news but it is much worse when you see it in real time.
Glad you and your family are safe Kevin.

A little late but all good here, I'm about 20 miles north of Kalamazoo.

All we got here was rain, the cats didn't even hide, lol.
