BIG storm headed in

Recommended Posts

Looks like we're in for the biggest nastiest storm we've seen in a bit.

18" plus here supposedly.....?

Starts Wednesday afternoon and goes all the way through Friday.

Here's a link that shows several maps of New England:

If the rain we've gotten here over the last few days had been snow, we'd probably have 3 feet.  And with the winds it would have been very bad blizzard conditions. Tornado warnings, hail, and all that.  Stay safe!

Same here,  10 degrees colder and our 3 inches of rain in 3 days could have been 30 inches of snow.

No worries @ebinmaine, looks like the storm is gonna drop some off by us first. Should not be so bad by the time it gets to you. :handgestures-thumbupright::D

Low vis and it just keeps coming right now.

Another tractor nut like myself, I set up between 4 and 5 tractor for winter. I only have two tractors still set up right now; one has a Blower and a 3-point Blade on it. The other has a Blade. But it usually has a blade on it year-round anyway. They predict 3 inches down here, But In my neck of the woods, I bet it only sticks to the grass.:handgestures-thumbupleft:

Nothing wrong with being prepared and then some.

We keep ourselves  ready for a days long power outage 24/7/365.

Always have the walk behind snowblower gassed and waiting,  even in the summer.

For several years now we've had 2 tractors with plows. Next year we may add a third, with a single stage snowblower. Maybe even a 4th, with a plow.

Bunch of rain here, figure it washed all those stocked trout to the river. Catfish food now!

The stocked trout should hold in the deeper holes Joe.       Low clear water is what turns them into a bald eagle and blue heron buffet here.

I swear the eagles  know the feast is coming when they hear the whistle on the work train we use to stock the trout.

We are fed up to the back teeth of rain and wind Over here in England.

Wettest Feb and wettest March ever, April looks like following suit.

Wind is blowing hard too.

They blame the jet stream that is all out of shape and bringing the weather weather. I wish it would shift back where it belongs.

Wowser!

We had one day of the white stuff here this winter. And traffic still ended up in chaos because people are no longer used to driving in snow.

To be honest people are no longer

 used to driving full stop.

Welp....

Started snowing lightly here about 3:30 pm. Supposedly potential for 3 full days of snow if the storm explodes like it could.

Should be great for you as long as BBT is using it.  Then it might not be so great for you if she used it.

AAAHHH!!!!  I really miss those Main winters !!!  Do like we used to do in Winter Harbor...fry up some Kielbassa, open up some Peppermint Schnapps, and turn on your favorite Led Zepplin album.
