Keaton 160 #3 Posted March 19 and the serial number for the tractor is 62-18748, that is all I got on it so far, thanks for the help
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,530 #4 Posted March 19 If you look at the details page for the 1962 model 32R this engine is listed. Also used on the 1962 model 502. Not very often we see the original engines still with the tractor.
Keaton 160 #5 Posted March 19 I am not 100% Shure but I believe it is original, but if the serial matches up I guess it is
Keaton 160 #6 Posted March 19 @gwest_ca on the lawn ranger 32 r spreadsheet it is is a 5.5hp and on a other chart it says it is a 6hp I guess they just put six to round up
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,530 #7 Posted March 19 The HT55 is 5.5hp. I do not know what the T represents. Wheel Horse also used H50 - 5hp and H60 - 6hp. When you see a H-60 it is an aluminum block and HH-60 is a cast iron block.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,530 #8 Posted March 19 Was able to grab the engines used by Wheel Horse and Toro with their spec numbers. Info that is slightly hidden at Toro.
Keaton 160 #9 Posted March 19 i was looking around on the side and @pfrederi said in a lawn ranger post that " At one time "T" was used to indicate Tecumseh as opposed to Lauson Power Products." so @gwest_ca that us what the "T" means in the engines, i have a power products engine so it makes sence
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,530 #10 Posted March 19 The HT55 models on the Toro list have 2 spec numbers with one being electric start and the other recoil start. All are 1962 models. 32E and 552 32R and
Howie 884 #11 Posted March 20 Tecumseh did stamp the numbers on the top of the blower housing. Would be next to the row of head bolts holding it on.
