Pullstart 67,346 #201 Posted May 29 I also knocked my mile down to 6:42 yesterday, before any weight training. Rylee’s boyfriend Brenen suggested on top of One Mile Wednesday, we should add Two Mile Tuesday and Three Mile Thursday! The kid’s crazy I tell ya!
Pullstart 67,346 #202 Posted June 26 Tuesday, we ran 2 miles. Wednesday, 1 mile. Today, 3. 6 miles total for the week, along with our regular rotation of deadlift, squat and bench press, and sides of free weights, cable workouts, planks, push-ups, sit-ups, etc. We’re working hard and feeling good! Yesterday’s mile, I even slowed down about 3/4 of the way through, and still bested last week’s new personal best of 6:16 by a second! My new mile beat is 6:15! 1

Mickwhitt 5,168 #204 Posted June 26 May I recommend F#£% All Friday. I've been doing it for a while and it really works. Come to think of it i was doing it for a long time before I retired. Friday was always called POETS day for those who were office bound and not working shifts. These were called ESSO men because they had Every Saturday and Sunday Off. Of course POETS day stood for Piss Off Early, Tomorrow's Saturday.
Pullstart 67,346 #205 Posted June 27 I am pretty sure that I was a young teen the last time I water skied. The boat riders were at one of Mrs. P’s coworkers from out of town. It was a work/entertaining night, and I was lucky enough to be invited as a plus one. 2

Handy Don 14,246 #208 Posted June 27 Last time I water skied (30-ish years ago) muscles I never knew I had made their discontent known for several days afterward! Well done to you, @Pullstart
Ed Kennell 42,449 #209 Posted June 27 I'm disappointed. Sorta like watching a NASCAR race that ends without a crash. 11 minutes ago, Handy Don said: Last time I water skied (30-ish years ago) muscles I never knew I had made their discontent known for several days afterward! oliver2-44 10,827 #210 Posted June 27 Kudos to Pullstart! You may have a future career at Sea World or Cypress Gardens Ski Show.....Salon Skiers may be getting hard to find. My last Salon skiing was my 50th birthday, Salon Skiing is becoming a lost art! A Mastercraft Ski Boat like in the video is becoming a rare boat around here these days. I wonder if they even still build them. On the lakes here, if its not a fishing boat, it has a tower and wakeboard/wake surf capability. I tried to sell a high end salon ski at a large neighborhood garage sale and finally gave it away. My middle son did competition Wake Boarding Jr High through running the Texas State University Wakeboard Team. In high school I took him for 30 minute lake practice runs Tuesday and Thursday mornings before I headed to work and him school. On cold mornings I would be freezing in the boat and he would say how hot it was in his wet suit or dry suit. Great Memories! Blew his ACL out for the 2nd time during his run at Florida Nationals. This is his 4th summer running Texas Wake Academy, Summer Day Camp. https://www.texaswakeacademy.com/?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=20998306310&gbraid=0AAAAABnI6dEcqMDy09vRh1FxYfkPCaOgd&gclid=Cj0KCQjwgvnCBhCqARIsADBLZoKQfS4OICmZSk5Aw8AYHaQdPsP1CezxcwGbmPSXzCydsoiz8bWl8DwaAls4EALw_wcB He gets his camp counselors from current College Wake/Surf Teams. While he's offered private lessons in the past, he added a new business this summer. https://www.captainandcrewconcierge.com/ Serves the High-End lake world. Why captain you own boat when you can pay someone else and be free to party with your friends. I'll have to get a picture off the gas/fuel setup - 35 gallon tank on wheels, electric pump. Carries it on receiver hitch electric wheel chair lift/carrier. Roll it right up to your boat house. He says its now hard to stay on land/truck office/cell phone most of the day running the business, greeting parents, customers, coordinating activities and paying counselors to drive his boats. Crazy ACL story! So first ACL repair they take part of another one of his tendons. 2nd ACL repair, they use Tendon from Cadaver and Dr. says he choose the stoutest one he could get. When asked why he didn't use one on 1st repair, Dr. says insurance won't pay for it. Sorry to steal you thread Pullstart......

I was fortunate enough to have a great neighbor growing up who was a ski instructor and water sports enthusiast through and through. We did barefoot, short line, wakeboarding, kneeboarding, extreme tubing, all the fun! Once the boards became popular, skiing wasn’t as fun any longer. Now, I was up for the challenge of trying.
Pullstart 67,346 #212 Posted July 15 This week we are doing another AMAP (as many as possible) drop set workout. I did some quick math, and tallied up the amount of weight moved so far. Not counting getting the weight out of the rack, or putting it back, I lifted 16,725 lbs in an hour yesterday, mainly focusing on squats but adding in kettlebell swings, goblet squats and no weight jumping lunges. Today was dead lift, with concentration curls, lat raises, and hammer curls sprinkled in for a total of 12,360 lbs. So far, I’m at 29,085 lbs and tomorrow is bench press headlining the gym day!
Pullstart 67,346 #213 Posted July 18 Wow. Taking notes of every rep, every day this week, I moved 64,100 lbs in 5 hours of work time. Never would I imagine that, it’s unreal and hard to fathom. 3
Sparky-(Admin) 23,479 #214 Posted July 18 Really kickin butt Kevin! Keep it up! All I do in the exercise world is ride my bike, unfortunately not regularly enough. But this week I’m on vacation and brought the bike with me so I’ve been out every morning. Very hilly here in Maine where I am, giving my legs a workout like they haven’t seen in a looooong time! My longest ride this week: 2

Pullstart 67,346 #218 Posted July 29 It’s been a while since I did any major fasting. I’m in 23 hours currently. Feeling a bit tired. I’ve had two cups of coffee, a cup of tea, and water today. I’m not sure if I’ve ever fasted in warm weather. This is new to me.

Pullstart 67,346 #220 Posted August 8 I made it 61 or 62 hours of fasting, long enough to complete the health screening and chow some breakfast. Dropped 9 pounds and had a great annual health screening to boot! I’ve also been making strides in the gym lately too. Kind of. Not so much running, and it shows. I pumped out a 7:10 mile on Monday, with 10 bpm higher than I’d like to see at a 6 minute mile. Weight wise, I’ve managed to deadlift 315 lbs, and squat 300 lbs this week! Two maximums set for myself.
Pullstart 67,346 #221 Posted August 15 For anyone curious on the mind games of fasting…
Beap52 1,530 #222 Posted August 15 Interesting video and I say "Go for it." I've never been a fasting sort of fellow. Nor do I exercise for the sake of exercise. I eat three meals a day plus a few snacks. For me, moderation is my goal. I am amazed at the size of portions and the size of folks waist lines at "all you can eat restaurants." Most of the time, Pam and I split meals. Even a local smash burger shop we split a burger and get extra water or pay for extra sweet drink. My son in law exercises every morning in his home gym. He weighed over 400 lbs when he married our daughter some 12 years ago. He now hovers around 225~235 at 6'6" tall. He's my strong man when I need heavy lifting done! When I said I don't exercise for the sake of exercising, I do exercise. To use the equipment in my son in law's gym is not for me. Give me a shovel and I'd be happy working it and have a hole or garden spaded. I graduated from high school at 128 lbs. I stayed at about 148 until about ten years ago and now run about 156. I'm pretty much a lightweight with small bone structure but I managed to do carpentry for about forty years. I totally agree the government obese weight is flawed as I don't think it takes in bone structure. I've enjoyed following your adventures. Phil

Ed Kennell 42,449 #224 Posted August 27 Good work Kev. I got a wake up Sunday when I got the crossbow out to tune up for the Oct. archery opener. I was not able to pull the 150 lbs to cock the bow. On my way to the gym now. 1
