I also knocked my mile down to 6:42 yesterday, before any weight training.  Rylee’s boyfriend Brenen suggested on top of One Mile Wednesday, we should add Two Mile Tuesday and Three Mile Thursday!  The kid’s crazy I tell ya!

Tuesday, we ran 2 miles.  Wednesday, 1 mile.  Today, 3.  6 miles total for the week, along with our regular rotation of deadlift, squat and bench press, and sides of free weights, cable workouts, planks, push-ups, sit-ups, etc.  We’re working hard and feeling good!

Yesterday’s mile, I even slowed down about 3/4 of the way through, and still bested last week’s new personal best of 6:16 by a second!  My new mile beat is 6:15!

May I recommend F#£% All Friday. I've been doing it for a while and it really works.

Come to think of it i was doing it for a long time before I retired. Friday was always called POETS day for those who were office bound and not working shifts. These were called ESSO men because they had Every Saturday and Sunday Off.  Of course POETS day stood for Piss Off Early, Tomorrow's Saturday.

I am pretty sure that I was a young teen the last time I water skied.  The boat riders were at one of Mrs. P’s coworkers from out of town.  It was a work/entertaining night, and I was lucky enough to be invited as a plus one.

Last time I water skied (30-ish years ago) muscles I never knew I had made their discontent known for several days afterward!

Well done to you, @Pullstart

I'm disappointed.   Sorta like watching a NASCAR race that ends without a crash.

Kudos to Pullstart!

You may have a future career at Sea World or Cypress Gardens Ski Show.....Salon Skiers may be getting hard to find.

My last Salon skiing was my 50th birthday,

Salon Skiing is becoming a lost art!

A Mastercraft Ski Boat like in the video is becoming a rare boat around here these days.  I wonder if they even still build them.

On the lakes here, if its not a fishing boat, it has a tower and wakeboard/wake surf capability.

I tried to sell a high end salon ski at a large neighborhood garage sale and finally gave it away.

My middle son did competition Wake Boarding Jr High through running the Texas State University Wakeboard Team.

In high school  I took him for 30 minute lake practice runs Tuesday and Thursday mornings before I headed to work and him school.

On cold mornings I would be freezing in the boat and he would say how hot it was in his wet suit or dry suit.  Great Memories!

Blew his ACL out for the 2nd time during his run at Florida Nationals.

This is his 4th summer running Texas Wake Academy, Summer Day Camp.

https://www.texaswakeacademy.com/?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=20998306310&gbraid=0AAAAABnI6dEcqMDy09vRh1FxYfkPCaOgd&gclid=Cj0KCQjwgvnCBhCqARIsADBLZoKQfS4OICmZSk5Aw8AYHaQdPsP1CezxcwGbmPSXzCydsoiz8bWl8DwaAls4EALw_wcB

He gets his camp counselors from current College Wake/Surf Teams.

While he's offered private lessons in the past, he added a new business this summer.

https://www.captainandcrewconcierge.com/

Serves the High-End lake world.

Why captain you own boat when you can pay someone else and be free to party with your friends.

I'll have to get a picture off the gas/fuel setup - 35 gallon tank on wheels, electric pump.

Carries it on receiver hitch electric wheel chair lift/carrier.  Roll it right up to your boat house.

He says its now hard to stay on land/truck office/cell phone most of the day running the business, greeting parents, customers, coordinating activities and paying counselors to drive his boats.

Crazy ACL story!

So first ACL repair they take part of another one of his tendons.

2nd ACL repair, they use Tendon from Cadaver and Dr. says he choose the stoutest one he could get.

When asked why he didn't use one on 1st repair, Dr. says insurance won't pay for it.

Sorry to steal you thread Pullstart......

I’ve done that too.  I was fortunate enough to have a great neighbor growing up who was a ski instructor and water sports enthusiast through and through.  We did barefoot, short line, wakeboarding, kneeboarding, extreme tubing, all the fun!  Once the boards became popular, skiing wasn’t as fun any longer.  Now, I was up for the challenge of trying.

This week we are doing another AMAP (as many as possible) drop set workout.  I did some quick math, and tallied up the amount of weight moved so far.  Not counting getting the weight out of the rack, or putting it back, I lifted 16,725 lbs in an hour yesterday, mainly focusing on squats but adding in kettlebell swings, goblet squats and no weight jumping lunges.  Today was dead lift, with concentration curls, lat raises, and hammer curls sprinkled in for a total of 12,360 lbs.  So far, I’m at 29,085 lbs and tomorrow is bench press headlining the gym day!

Wow.  Taking notes of every rep, every day this week, I moved 64,100 lbs in 5 hours of work time.  Never would I imagine that, it’s unreal and hard to fathom.

Really kickin butt Kevin! Keep it up!
All I do in the exercise world is ride my bike, unfortunately not regularly enough.
But this week I’m on vacation and brought the bike with me so I’ve been out every morning. Very hilly here in Maine where I am, giving my legs a workout like they haven’t seen in a looooong time!
  My longest ride this week:

@Sparky

That's definitely true.

Modern science is finding out more and more everyday that it really is, use it or lose it. Keep bicycling!
