c-series don

My best advice would be to get that running, sell it and put the money towards a Wheel Horse!😀

After cleaning off all the mouse turds and dust it’s a fairly well built machine. It’s also got to be a low hr machine.  It’s a 93-94 model year from date codes on some parts.
It was very well taken care for and has a local small engine shop on it. They no longer sell Snapper.
Briggs bought the brand in 08 I think. I can’t find any info on this tractor online. The model number doesn’t jive with anything Snapper ever made from what I can find.
It does suck up everything like the walkbehinds. Lol. I’m liking it. C8DBBFFF-5312-431E-AFB2-B8552153BE7A.jpeg.1688469f662b73d612967a817a9c8358.jpeg

What type of transmission does it have?  Standard  Snapper Rider or or lawn tractor 4,5,or 6 speed.

Snapper sold some rebranded tractors, one was a larger Bolands it was a garden tractor, might check Bolands lawn tractors for a look-a like.

It’s a Peerless 930 6 spd. I did find a manual online for it. I guess when Briggs took over Snapper they must have thinned out the old stuff off the website. I find replacement parts that also have Murray and Massey Ferguson listed along with Snapper so it must be in the same family.
I did find a parts breakdown so I should be able to locate replacement parts.
I did get the brakes working and the carb kit should be here today.
it’s a fairly well built tractor with a pretty sturdy deck. It may become my mowing and leaf machine. I’ll be able to set the 520 up for snow removal early. 😁

Show off what your doing from the seat of your Horse!!! Fixed up a mowing deck for the 1277 and put the plow on the C1014. Getting ready to level a topsoil pile and going down the block to mow the small park to test the mowing deck out.

1977 C160 Automatic Tractor.  This has been my go to tractor for over 30 years.  Not a show tractor by any means. Could definitely use a tune up but still runs and mows.  Included are original manuals, 2 mowing decks, cab ( which needs all the windows replaced) including the doors and tire chains.  Someone modified the plow so it doesn't really fit this tractor.  I purchased a larger machine so do not have a need for this.  Hydraulic lift is not working.  One front tire has a slow leak.  Open to offers.  Thought I had this sold but it was someone trying to scam me with a phony cashiers check.  Please be careful.  This is the only site I have this listed so the scammer must be monitoring these ads.  Sold the rototiller. So adjusted the price.

Hello Everyone, my name's Dan and I'm a wrenchaholic.

      Um, sorry.
      That's Thursday nights meeting.

First, thank you to all you old farts out there like myself and don't get me wrong. There are many young, Old Farts in this world also.
I think of anyone that sees beauty deep inside an old tractor, samurai sword, and yes, even a lovely lady could qualify also.
If you're the type of person that has the patients and other qualities that's needed to bring beauty and life back to something others see as old junk, or past it's prime, you're my kind of person.

      To the point now.
I ran across a 1980ish Argo 8x8 Amphibious vehical for the right price the other day, FREE, and of course it has the infamous Starter/Generator system. Also, it's had many unqualified druggies, and electrical experts, work on it before me.  I'm retired union electrician and fiber optic engineer so I was once qualified but,. But,. But, what was I talking bout?
      You get my point.
So, I was wondering if anyone could possibly point me in the direction of a midg,,,,,,. Wait,. Little Person, preferably a female and  blonde, so I won't have to do so much bending over working on this darn thing and while you're at it, maybe a wiring diagram for a complete starter/generator including a three wire voltage regulator?

If you have information on either of these, the help would be most appreciated.
Really, she doesn't even have to be blonde or little.

That ought to show you just how willing I am to work with others.

Thank all of you here for sharing your wisdom so it can be handed down for others to learn.
