Looks cool in the photo, but practical? Not so much.

Then it’s a vehicle, and those lawmen get kind of weird about hunting from your wheels…

Tenderloins Ed?

Just to give you guys an idea of how many deer there are around here. Bought my gun and bow tags last week. A reasonable 24 bucks each. With each buck only tag came four free doe only tags. They have to be used on private land in my county or farmland zone tho. Not a concern. Between Cindy and I we have 15 tags!

About 14 years back I invested in the Pa lifetime hunting/fishing license for $120.   This gets you small game, two turkey, and one buck tag (6 point minimum) and stream and lake fishing.

Elk, bear, bobcat, and a third turkey tag are available for additional $.

Pa still uses an archaic paper mail in application  lottery system for the doe only license.    They cost $6.90 each and are specific for a game management area.  Multiple doe tags can be purchased until the  state set quota of tags is exhausted in each GMA.

There are still many doe tag  parties where the buck only hunters buy up as many doe tags as they can and use them to roast hot dogs and marshmallows.

Pa game commission reports 435,000 deer killed by hunters in 2021.

State Farm insurance alone reports 115,000 deer/car accident claims in 2021 in Pa.

Within two mile of my house this week, I moved two road kills off the roadside so the Bald eagles could safely eat.

On further review looks like has his right hand on the animal but might have been photo shopped?  Clearly a 1400 lb bull but TX is not known for producing bulls that size. Perhaps a farm bull? ... just sayin.... :confusion-shrug:

A really big pen.  This outfitter advertises a 12 sq mi high fence elk ranch with all elk bred and born on the ranch.  He also guides for free range elk on public land.

All he would have to do is place his hand in the correct position...  but it's still a big bull no matter what!

... or his feet ...

Good genetics, feed em grain and let em grow then take the highest bid on who wants to shoot it. Not my idea of hunting and my pockets agree.

No different than a 4Her raising a grand champion beef I guess.

I don't agree with high fence game farm hunting either Jim but let's not jump to conclusions on Kev's buddies bull.     There are some free ranging monster out there.

No doubt. We owned property in northern WI where there is a nice elk herd. Just about everyone in the area put out corn for the purpose of wildlife viewing which is legal in that area. Since elk also like corn we saw some bruisers.

If they showed up at your feed you were supposed to quit to keep them from getting domestic or used to people.

He didn't give me a chance to take a picture of him, but I had a crotch horn deer that was licking the bird seed out of the feeder and the feeder is only 10 ft from the house. He ran off as soon as I got close enough to the window to take a picture.
