can somebody please help. Im restoring a 308-8. its actually coming out rather well. Anyway it never had PTO linkage. The parts tractor did. i was at a loss on how to install it in freshly painted chassis. I finally bent side panel in parts one to remove. I just got done installing wiring harness,  assuming all of this needs to come apart?

there was a snap ring i removed but  i suppose it was to merely hold her from rattling. of course i have time today to work on this. wanted to put engine and wheels on so i can clean up my shop a little better. i have a 312-8 i constantly use for reference but clearly i can see what to do by just looking at it

i just re read my post. to clarify: not seeing how the PTO clutch lever gets installed without bending side plate to wedge it in, the rest of linkage bars to engine i can figure out

@matt montewhile I agree with @gwest_ca  on pictures and parts , cannot emphasize enough on snug fitting and grease lubricated starting points , went to local h/w store pullout drawer section for plastic / nylon washers and also steel washers to firm up those sloppy starting points , especially at the lever start point , when its solid / smooth , it increases its function , lubricate every motion point , zero rust . did that on my 3 horses , no problems / no effort , pete

Matt, just have to remove the horizontal shelf that bolts to the sides with 2 carriage bolts. You had them removed out of one side...
