Just another parts pile build

I made a trade with @ebinmaine a while back for a pile of parts. That is where most of the parts came from to build Hiram.

 

There is still alot of random parts left.

It's a shame for them to just sit around.

 

So here goes another parts pile build.

 

This is what I have freed from the ice so far.

Me too. I was thinking of using the 10hp I got from ya but with all the room under the hood Im not so sure now.

That's what's so amazing about  you can take different parts from different years and still come up with a unique

Gotta say that looks pretty good. Kinda reminds me of some of the big wheatland tractors.

Only the ones that were "projects". And most are scattered back 10 years or more. Not much to it.

Mag 14 is quite stout linked to a manual tranny. It'll be a beast!

Could anyone tell me if a cylinder like this can be easily shortened? I'm thinking by cutting the cylinder sleeve and the outer end of the piston shaft. Then shorten and retread the 4 bolts.

My inclination would be to call Lowell at Wheelhorse Parts and More. 

He rebuilds our Horse's cylinders so may have the knowledge.....?

I can't imagine I couldn't. Maybe it's not as straight forward as it seems, but seems simple enough.

I have one I would like to shorten by about 4in.
