Those are hood mounted lights in original hood location. Open cab (But do have full Carhartt insulated overalls)

Mine have been patched so many times there isn't much left of the original!  I would not work outside in anything less... warm and comfy.

Throw some rain gear on top and you'll stay even warmer... AND DRY!

Cab lights are OK as long as it is not snowing or windy. If it is all you will see is the snow falling and blowing.

I like the hood lights and a backup lamp for plowing and snowthrower duty.

And of course the locally obligatory flashing yellow/amber if one is in the road.

@jonw440  I  use this type of single electrical lug on my wheel horse ,https://ihiconnectors.com/IHI-single-wire-lugs.html , for bombproof connections , your local h/w store should have them , pretty cheap . my best gain was , battery ground cable bolt down , 4 ga cable to engine corner, clutch pedal area , serated washers , dielectric grease , add 10-12 ga wire to rectifier bolt mount area , and from there to head light grounding  . better starting / charging , worth a look . pete

Since I retired I plowed snow after dark once...just to test out the lights I installed.
