These are cool. Old Willy's style but this page seems old if they're only $10 a set

It's probably correct. I have a set sitting in a shopping cart for a pair quite similar for $5.95 ea.

Not much has happened on the "camp buggy" lately.

Shop time has been taken up with this beast.

This PUG belongs to a friend of mine.

It's been used and abused. I think abused might be a mild term.

It's one of those things I probably should have never let in the shop.

Besides him being a friend, it's to bad to let this beast just disappear.

Made some good progress on it.

I'm hoping Wed it will go home.

It's a PUG.

All time 4x4 fully articulating and amphibious. The back of the body is also made to except a small outboard engine. Hi/lo and reverse with a hydraulic dump body. I think the diffs  are made by Dana. Im not sure of the original engine but this has a 14hp Kohler Magnum.

It's a beast of a work rig

Wow Mike, I’d love to see a video of that with an outboard on it!  Gone fishin’!

Me too. I would say those will go almost anywhere you point it. Maybe good for ice fishing too.

There will be soon. Last minute I had a moment of indecision on the engine and trans so I decided to think on it a bit and moved onto a different toy.

This is almost finished so then back to the golf cart build. Even though I still haven't nailed down an engine and trans combo.

You could rearrange the decals and make it “426 speed”!

I'm hoping it will go like a 426 lol.

It's running a 17.5hp oppy with a pulley swap and jackshaft.

Went from a 3:1 underdrive to a 3:1 overdrive with room to go up to a 6:1 overdrive.

It's getting time to start working on the custom golf cart again  I.e. Camp Buggy.

I've had alot of thought process changes on this.

I'm not looking to go fast 20-25 mph tops maybe. Downhill with a stiff wind to my back.

My current thought process is to use a 18.5hp Kohler Magnum opposed twin vert. shaft engine, belt clutch driven to a

Tuff Torq K61-A hydro transmission from a Toro Wheel Horse 265H. Transmission would be turned 90degree from conventional use. Matching sprockets on both axles or mount then directly to the 5 lug hubs to drive chain on both ends to sprockets attached to a drive shaft running under or beside the trans to the narrowed Ford rear axle.

I'm not sure of the final drive gear ratio for the hydro rear so sprocket size and top speed is currently NA.

The idea of using the hydro drive is so the wife can drive it by herself with ease when/if needed

Please add input of any kind.

This is my take and basic idea of what he's say'n

The drive shaft is under the trans or maybe another position but connected to the trans with chains

You're a good man John.

Trans-laytin' one Maine man's speak to another is an art all in itself.

It's a cool idea and not 100% sure it's exactly what he's getting at.

Let's see your view from your workplace "window". I know some are driving truck,or tractor, work in shops/offices or outdoors. What is it that surrounds you during your work day?

I started a thread a little while back "Something from Nothing". It has been upgraded to this thread because now I'm building something from something lol. I started with a new frame and strengthened the transaxle mount a bit.

I've wanted to do this type of project for a while now. So here we go. The name was given by @wallfish. It will be called "The Yeti".  It will be painted and badged in a military theme. The front axle is in progress now.
