In general, the current crop of homeowners will total any kind of outdoor power equipment in short order.  They don't care and will simply replace their junk with new junk at the drop of a hat.

Makers follow sales.

Sell a Wheel Horse and maybe have maintenance and a couple of implement sales for the next 40 years for a modest profit with overhead for spare parts.

Sell a minimally-built mower and sell another one every five years at a decent margin every time and not have any responsibility for maintainiing a spare parts inventory or the one-time use of resources, to boot.
