I need help finding a Ford 300/4.9 4BBL intake manifold

Mods, I know this could be considered a "wanted" ad.

I posted here because I'm looking for help finding sources for a purchase. If it's not posted correctly I respect the decision to move/delete the thread.

I'm looking for an OFFENHAUSER aluminum intake manifold for a 240/300 straight six Ford engine.

They are not all common. Bordering on rare as hen's teeth.

They're on backorder until at least October if bought new.

It's quite possible I may just have to wait.

I figured I'd post here and see if anyone had a friend/connection/sources for used straight 6 performance parts.

Barn find?

Old stuff salvage yard?

Also if you'd be so kind as to check your own CL or FB locally to see if something pops up.

Thanks ahead of time for the help!!!

Interesting site!

Thanks for that.  I'll keep checking back.

@JCM

Near as I can tell there's 3 modern intakes available.

Offy has that dual port/plane and the 6227c open plenum.

Clifford performance has an open plenum.

I plan to use late model exhaust manifolds to free up the breathing. They have much thicker flanges than any header.

I'd prefer one of the Offy intakes because they would be easier to mount due to thickness of the flange, and they run a little cheaper.

Clifford performance 's version does have 2 pretty good advantages though. One is that (at least some of them) have a coolant heated plate to help fuel atomization.

More important... Clifford performance is now based here in Maine!!

So I may just order theirs and figure out some spacers for mounting.

Thanks for the reminder.

They do show backorder like other sites but no ETA.

Jeg's too.

Jeg's is claiming a fall delivery time...

Clifford performance as well.

UPDATE!!!

I called Larry at Clifford Performance today to check on ETA and discuss compatibility with stock exhaust manifolds.

The intakes are in!

So I've ordered a Clifford intake.

Awesome stuff.

One of several changes to the outside of the engine I'll be making. Intake. Exhaust. Ignition.
