73 no name key switch

Recommended Posts

gt14rider

Good afternoon,

Started messing with my 73 no name, wiring in rough shape.

jumped starter, motor turns over, will not turn over with key. Checked key switch, believe to be wrong , it has a M terminal, not a I (eye ) terminal.  Should have been a 92-6785 (101917)  having trouble  finding , stems doesn't make one,  anyone know of a good (cheap) one.

Thanks

I think the 73 had the extra key position fr lights which you don't need. Toro  #103990 should work.

Stens DOES make one.

Please. For the love of tractors and sanity.  NEVER buy a "cheap" ignition switch.

Stens 430-512 Starter Switch Replaces Toro 103990

Stens switch is about 12 bucks.

You can find a Toro 103990 for less than $20.

I got to get out of this haze. The wiring schematic I have has the switch update with the 103990#. I was looking at pictures not reading.

Thanks. EB, found one for 20 bucks, will have to switch some wires around .I don't like cheap switches either but

Started looking for a 101917 or 92-6785 some were $30 to $60. Payed under $50 for the tractor.

Thanks again for the replys.
