Engine Oil Drain... Quick Connect?

Recommended Posts

Pullstart

Can anyone identify this drain system?  @squonk?  Is there a NAPA # for it?  :D

The oil everywhere under this constituted to a loose oil filter.

It’s the 520Xi, but I doubt it is factory...

it’s a pipe elbow above it.  I suppose I could just as easily take the e-z drain do-hicky off an just use a pipe/plug.

those threads make it easy , you could also use a ball valve just after the ,elbow , with a hose attached for easy drainage , pete

Stens 125-508 is that style, just make sure the threads are the same.

Hi Jake!  Lot’s changed since we last said hello!  Portage, I think?

That's pretty neat. Does require enough clearance to get a grip on it, though.

I used a blue shop rag and my left hand.  It wasn’t terrible once I saw the picture Garry posted.  :handgestures-thumbupright:

That fitting accepts a piece of 1/2" plastic tubing also.  Comes in handy on some machines.  I've got them on a couple machines.  3/8" pipe thread,

The Kohler Command Twin used in the 518xi, 520xi, and 522xi use that drain as well.
