I temporarily stuck the LED fixture on the ceiling. I am beginning to think, all lumens are not created equal. You be the judge.

I think I am switching to LED after all

12 hours a day, $0.11 KWH.  LED, $131 per year.  High output, $385 per year

My lighting engineer neighbor would agree--it is the lumens plus the color temperature plus the spectrum of the light being delivered. (He gave me a crash course in exchange for me resurrecting his drivetrain-frozen snowblower.)

To me it's not only the money, it's also consuming less electricity.
