Prater 75 #1 Posted May 31, 2009 Took the day off from work around the house and went fishing. My son Noah turns 5 next week and he wanted to go with his Grandpa, this sounded good so I went also. No keepers but still a very good day Here is Noah with his very first fish...

wh500special 2,055 #8 Posted June 2, 2009 Nobody's made the obvious joke yet, so I'll bite: Looks like you had a crappie day! Or do you guys call 'em "specks" down there? Or "bream"? Ah, who would have thought fishing would have such a rich lexicon? Glad you folks had a great time...I see a little Jimmy Houston in that boy! Hoping that someday my kids will have an interest in fishing too , Steve
Prater 75 #9 Posted June 2, 2009 Yes it was a Crappie Day...LOL Thats what we call them here. My kiddo caught two before he fell overboard...I told him not to play to close to the side of the boat, he just had to splash the water with his hands and kaplunk. He was more upset about having his shirt wet than anything. So later in the day we went to the swim beach and let him play for a few hours, by that time he had forgotten all about the fall into the water.
