Repair Leaky Hyd Cylinder # 6618

Recommended Posts

daveoman1966

This older Hydraulic Clyinder #6618...used 'til mid 70s...is notorious for developing a leak and making a mess.  Here is my 'easy fix' to stop the drip drip drip...  If it later on begins to leak again, just replace the O-ring under the Copper washer.  This is the fix I used on both my Bronco 14 and the C-160 Auto a couple of years ago and neither one leaks today.

An excellent idea Dave and thanks for posting.

My own Charger cylinder does seap a tad so I may very well put this to use.

I think this should be pinned in transmission or given a spot in Instructional threads.  This is great info!!!
