Pond / Speedex FG tire info?

Hello All, new guy here hoping that someone can help me with the rear tire size needed for this Speedex / Pond FG  that I am beginning to restore.  The rear tires had completely disintegrated and were unreadable when I acquired this old girl.  I'm hoping that someone here will know the correct tire size needed. I believe these are the original rims.  Any help is much appreciated!  This is my first tractor to attempt to restore so please go easy on me, lol.

I can't help with the tire info but

Old tractor tire sizes are the tire width x the rim diameter.  The tire can be wider then the rim.

May we ask where you found that.  Please start a thread here on your restoration so we can follow along. 

You will also find lots of helpful advice here along with the friendliest people 9 and a little good natured ribbing one you've been around awhile.

So does that have a Model T Radiator, Engine, Clutch, Transmission, Steering and just a Speedex/Pond rear end?

 

I see Odem is near Corpus Christi, I was just down there right before Thanksgiving, and may be going again next week.

Wow, an FG Lowboy! That's a super cool find.

 

The rear tires are tough to find and expensive being 22". Firestone 7.50x22 Firestone tires through ME Miller tire (when they have them) will be your best and possibly only bet.

Jim, the engine/trans are Model A. Rear end looks to be T.

Never seen that one.. what a machine too. I had a much larger Worthington with a Model A engine. Whole lot of power for a little rig like that, when the Gibson and early PK tractors were still sporting a Briggs 7.25, or a Wisconsin 8..

Love the truck too! Looks like my old girl..

Does it have any sort of PTO to actually put the 40 horse engine to work?

There is a photo in "Straight From the Horses Mouth" with Elmer Pond driving a tractor much like the one you have.      Could this be the same tractor?

 and cool tractor!  What are the rollers on the frame next to the engine?  @Jennifer had some rear tires, I don’t recall the size but they wouldn’t work for my needs.

I believe that the rollers are there to assist with tight turns and to keep the tires off of the frame. There are 3 wooden rollers on the right side but only one on the left side. The rollers on the right are on a metal bar and as one was used up, the next one could be slid up to the front.  I guess they didn't turn to the left very much back then.

It came in to my auction barn in this condition several months ago and I am just now getting around to it.  It is Model A radiator & shroud, engine and trans with Model T rear end
