Eagle beak pliers. The nub on it serves as a hammer. Also known as Cobbler pliers. Used for shoe making and the like.

Aren’t all pliers, or for that matter any tool, used for a hammer...? At least on “occasion”...

You've had too much eggnog! Cresent wrenches and 1/2" ratchets are the only tools ever made that are acceptable to use as a hammer! :helmet:

I found a pair of them when cleaning out my great grandparents place a couple of years ago after they had both passed away. Didn't have a clue what they were when I found them but google helped me out!

I'll be up shortly to collect :handgestures-thumbupright:

They resemble a farriers pliers used for clinching horseshoe nails.    This was my thinking until I googled.

Don't hurry for the cobbler.   I just pruned the fruit trees and won't have peaches till September.  :)

You'll already be two-thirds of the way to Maine so why don't you stop up here and I'll have Trina throw together a batch of pancakes or crepes and dump some good old New England maple syrup on them. Maybe even some homemade fruit sauce from her mom.

Go ahead and bring Ed along with you...

Get some Ploye mix. All I require is some butter and a pinch of Sugar! I'll hop on as they drive by!

You're more than welcome!

Not that I'm trying to tell you how to go about your business of transportation but you may want to get INSIDE the vehicle so as to avoid interesting looks by law enforcement officers...

I'll have to do that if I'm ever up that way! Never had New England syrup before.
