Another “Bucket Lister” scored... RJ-35

Recommended Posts

Pullstart

I have to thank @oldiron613 Rob for the tip, he was originally looking to see if I could pick it up for him but decided to let me take a crack at it.  It’s day 2 of a 4 day estate sale, everything marked 25% off.  I made an offer that they would likely have said no to, but they accepted without even a counter offer!  It comes with a one bottom plow and if they can find it a snow plow.

I feel like we should start a guessing game like the whatisits threads!  A few of you know what it is already because I can’t keep my yap shut!

1) It was advertised as a “kid’s tractor” so the kids can plow snow with it.

Actually rule 3.4567.769.7 clearly requires pics or it didn’t happen...

As far as competition, being an estate sale I have a feeling your’e the lone survivor in this matter... :hide:

I gained two hard to find tractors, but they were found by others generous enough to share intel :handgestures-thumbupright:

Bull roar Madge ....you prolly had an eye on it long before Kev knew about it!

Get it home and some decent pics see if we can nail down the year. And get that chain off the front .... that kinda nonsense is for stuff that Sylvia passes along. :ychain:

Who knows maybe it was a converted cable steer???

this is what Rob said about it...

”I've decided to take a pass and be your cheerleader! Get that baby bought.

From what I can tell, it's an early 1956. Besides the lack of a Schnacke recoil, it seems to have all the correct and really expensive hard to find parts in tact including no-name hood, cast steering wheel, belt guard, down to the original Schnuit front tires. I'm thinking that Clinton engine is original and looks to have the 1955 style air cleaner which is neat to see in itself.”

I was going to guess lawn ranger, but as you can see, I'm a little late to this party.

Either way, awesome score, especially how clean it is.

Any idea if its a restore? Or Original?

My pleasure, Kevin! I'm glad to assist with your growing Pond collection and that it has a great new home. :)

I only ask to be able to be able to buy it if you ever get tired of it.

I know of another c-160 in the southern third of Ohio. I just bought too many tractors recently, or i would jump at it.   Rules against posting it here , however.
