Sparky-(Admin) 23,284 #1 Posted September 24, 2020 The trails out back that I used to cruise on a Wheel Horse are real overgrown now that me, my neighbor Tony @Docwheelhorse and my son don’t have quads. Constantly buzzing around in the woods kept the trails clear. Today I ventured out for a cruise, first time in a loooong time. Used my 657 for transport. In a couple spots I couldn’t even tell where the trail was! Definitely not as nice as Jim’s @JCM trails. Had to detour around many fallen trees, may have to bring a saw with me next time The old Craftsman is something Tony dropped in the woods so we could watch it “age”, in the pic with no tractor you can see a deer watching me intently. ebinmaine 72,993 #2 Posted September 24, 2020 A wonderful place. Next time you come up to Maine we'll take you for a (bit of a body shaker) cruise in our forest. Awesome stuff Mike. Thanks for sharing.

JCM 10,250 #7 Posted September 24, 2020 Glad you liked the trail system as well as the others did Mike, it is definitely a labor of love to keep them in good condition. Every time we have a storm blow through I get on the 4 wheeler or a WH and check for blowdowns, branches or whatever may have come down to keep the trails clean, my favorite time to trail ride believe it or not is in the winter which I got the idea from you on your thread of winter trail rides and I figured why not try it. Maybe we all can do it next September. 1

Docwheelhorse 2,740 #12 Posted October 1, 2020 I want to spend some time this fall / winter cleaning the trail and filling rough spots with trap rock. I have a D160 "on order" with a friend that has a K341 1 lunger in it and is really solid. Im going to use that as a worker as the extra weight over a regular C makes it handy. As Mike said we used to use the trails ALOT Tony
