Jay, were you in the cantaloupe patch this morning ?   Thanks for the @roadapples  .

 

They picked all day yesterday.

 

And all day today during the hurricane that dumped 3-4" of rain.

A small gas engine.    Most of their implements have engines to run the hydraulics or mechanics.    They only use horses to pull the equipment.

Of course they did, because, well, why not?  Being outside in an open field, far away from all the trees and anything else that might have turned into a projectile, probably the safest place to be in that storm.

I grew up around Amish and Mennonite's and it was interesting to see what each "clan" allowed or didn't allow them to own or use.
