The Tuul Crib 7,338 #2 Posted July 24, 2020 This is some great information Pete! Thanks for sharing it and I might give it a try. I'm currently rebuilding my 16 horse and possibly can use this as a break in oil or additive.

I as well have mentioned the benefits of this additive but mainly because of my "recent" rebuild of my mild-wild SBC in my 78 Malibu. 6 minutes ago, elcamino/wheelhorse said: @peter lena About how many ounces did you add to the oil ? Jim check out their website I posted above. About 2oz/qt of oil. Edited July 25, 2020 by WVHillbilly520H

I'm currently rebuilding my 16 horse and possibly can use this as a break in oil or additive. From the information @WVHillbilly520H posted I would say it shouldn't be used for break-in. How is Rislone Hy-per Lube ZDDP Supplement different than break in additives? Break in additives contain extremely high concentrations of ZDDP and are only designed to be left in the engine for a short period of time. Many of these additives don’t contain detergents or other lubricity additives important to keeping your engine clean and lubricated for thousands of miles. Rislone Engine Oil Supplement with Zinc Treatment not only contains the correct amount of ZDDP, but also the other additives important to protecting your engine. Do not use as a break in additive.

It's on shelves at Wal-Mart Advance AutoZone and Oreilys here... I'm not a fan of our local NAPA and do more business with Fishers/Federated Auto parts as their headquarters are right here Staunton VA.

Richard my engine is a full "roller" valvetrain setup I wanted the extra peace of mind even though I use/used high mileage Castrol GTX oil for its start up and break in run even though technically roller cams don't need the 20 min 2k RPM shake down.
