Business trip, via train, Boston to NYC. Had a lunch meeting at the old Union Oyster Bar at Grand Central Station. The place is a step back in time. I absolutely love old train stations where they actually have real architecture and were ‘the’ buildings of their day. The family gets a kick out of how much I admire the old stations. Hey, I like what I like ;)

coming and going from GCS is certainly amazing - - since you are a fan -- suggest you go on You Tube, some terrific videos of the stations history and renovations -- as well as other stations elsewhere -- Hope all is well  -- Bill

It took about an hour to get the old Jeep to fire, but it was a great day!  38 mph or less, to prevent horrific death wobble!

Went to the blue box store today and picked up more supplies for my continuing interior trim project.

Today's project required some work with my Bailey #5 plane.  I think that is my favorite tool of all my tools to use.  It has a pleasing feel, sound, and when used with the proper wood, creates a wonderful aroma.  I bought the plane at an antique show at the local mall several decades ago.  Think I paid 35 bucks for it.

Today I changed the oil in the 98 Chevy Z-71 Silverado 4x4…

hasn’t been changed in 2 years or so…

Every 3000 miles though.

Been using AC Delco oil filters.

MADE IN CHINA !!!!!
Packaging has Chinese writing !

Oh well, got home, and found Mr. Squirrel had moved back into the extra battery tray under the hood. No wires chewed this time, best I could see. Cleaned out the leaves and set a mouse trap, no bait. Also sprinkled some cayenne pepper 🌶️ around. Hoping he will step on it and scare the crap out of him. Maybe he won’t come back.

Took the filter out of the box and first I thought the filter had rust painted over in blue.

Nope, just a high quality Chinese paint job…

Then I decided to stretch the legs on the Horses. After that I did a little spring cleaning on the shop, getting ready to get back on the 77 C-160.

I get to see Grand Central Terminal every day.  Definitely a beautiful building.  I personally like the architecture of the old Penn Station that was torn down in the 60's.  Absolute shame they tore that down.

Various AC Delco parts have been coming from China for at least 13 or 14 years that I can account for.

I haven't been in the Auto Parts Industry for that long and remember the issues then.

Nice little day hike.

We'll be doing a pile of smaller hikes and a few big mountains this year.

Time to get back into climbing condition.

@Horse Newbie Watch under that fuse box. They like to get underneath it and chew away.

My big project for the day was calling 2 different vendors for pricing on some Emergency Room stretcher parts. Hydraulic cylinders at $900 a pop. Wheel carriages for $650. 1 stretcher totaled out over 2 grand.

Took me 20 years to get in the shape I'm in now.

...Guessing it will take at least that many to get back! :D

wife called Tues whilst I was at work. Dryer quit working. She tried another plug and got it done. Today was spent at the outlet!
