8ntruck 9,296 #10126 Posted October 5 I mucked out the cab of the truck today. Hasn't been done in a loooong time. Much more pleasant to sit in now. Also worked the lawn restoration a bit. The grass has started to grow, but it is nowhere near a lush covering of grass. The seed I used was a mix of different grasses. One of them is growing well, the others are more like green fuzzy on the ground. I mowed it earlier this week with the deck at transport height, I mowed it again today with the push mower. I got the leaf blower out and blew about 1/2 of the straw off, hoping to get more sunlight on the green fuzzy type of grass. For good measure, I spread some more grass seed around. Got a few weeks of good weather left, hopefully some more grass will get started.

Thegearhead0324 1,843 #10133 Posted Thursday at 01:35 PM Yesterday, I took my dad to his first treatment, was diagnosed with lymphoma a few months back. Thankfully it’s highly treatable for a short amount of time (hopefully). He is one of the very few important people in my life so I worry about him and hope this all pans out ok.

Makes it so much tougher for the physical job all day. I actually like to work because it's my gym, social event and I get away from the O'lady all day. Yeah, I hear ya Ed. They did 2 stents and I felt ready to go that afternoon. They kept me for a couple days just to cash in on the insurance money. It got obvious when a whole bunch of the different doctors would stop by to say hello and ask stupid questions hours before they were supposed to release me. I lost one more of my nine lives back in December when an artery burst in my colon and pumped out 4-5 ozs of fuel every hour. Hemoglobin dropped from 17 to 6.5 in 20 hours. They went up the exhaust pipe with a light, camera, and soldering iron but couldn't find the leak. They pumped in some new blood and it sealed on it's own moments before I cashed in. Glad to hear you guys are still playing. 2 2

Ya, I cheated death twice so far this year, blood clots in the lungs in January and internal bleeding in February, eight units of blood (kind of like an oil change but with blood) and two trips to the operating table followed by Ferrous sulphate for several weeks to get my hemoglobin back to normal. A follow up with a cardiologist revealed another potential problem so I guess he can buy that new fishing boat he wanted. I have a little heart surgery coming up at the end of the week, I will post more on that in a few days.
