What did you do today?

I mucked out the cab of the truck today.  Hasn't  been done in a loooong time.  Much more pleasant to sit in now.

Also worked the lawn restoration a bit.  The grass has started to grow, but it is nowhere near a lush covering of grass.  The seed I used was a mix of different grasses. One of them is growing well, the others are more like green fuzzy on the ground.  I mowed it earlier this week with the deck at transport height, I mowed it again today with the push mower.  I got the leaf blower out and blew about 1/2 of the straw off, hoping to get more sunlight on the green fuzzy type of grass.  For good measure, I spread some more grass seed around.  Got a few weeks of good weather left, hopefully some more grass will get started.

New lawns need water every other day to keep the soil moist.

Got sprinklers set up on a timer.  They run for 1/2 hour in the morning and in the evening.

Watched the sun rise then fried some scrapple, onions, taters, and eggs.

Yesterday, I took my dad to his first treatment, was diagnosed with lymphoma a few months back. Thankfully it’s highly treatable for a short amount of time (hopefully). He is one of the very few important people in my life so I worry about him and hope this all pans out ok.

Cranked out another ski bench. This one is an Adirondack chair... as always, no fiscal expenditures...

I'm sure you'll get there John, but I wish I was your age and still working.....Just Sayin.

I am thankful I beat the odds, but  It just sucks to be a 32 yo that has to live in an 82 yo body.

:ROTF:32?  I don't mind working but the body is just give'n up on me. Makes it so much tougher for the physical job all day. I actually like to work because it's my gym, social event and I get away from the O'lady all day.

Yeah, I hear ya Ed. Stay young at heart brother!

I actually became the old man in which the 20 year old me said I'd never become.

But.... with all the stupid things I've done over the years to my body by partying and having fun I didn't really expect to make it to 50 anyway, so I'm already play'n with house money!

Oh Sh#t

Me too too. They did 2 stents and I felt ready to go that afternoon. They kept me for a couple days just to cash in on the insurance money. It got obvious when a whole bunch of the different doctors would stop by to say hello and ask stupid questions hours before they were supposed to release me. "Consultations"
