When I had an inboard several years ago, I'd winterize the block with antifreeze from my other vehicles.  I'd drain the antifreeze from the drivers and use it in the boat's block.  That way I rotated the antifreeze from our four vehicles once every four years.

  My other hobby (ok, obsession) is old flashlights. I’m kinda hot and cold with it though. I can easily go a year without buying one or even looking for one. 
  Today the wife and I were in an antigue store and I wasn’t even looking for flashlights, but stumbled across this one so I picked it up to give it a once over and see what the price was. Bulb is missing and it’s not in great shade. Plus I like em older (this one is about a 1948 light). It was heavy, which usually means old dead batteries that have leaked out and corroded the inside. Yes it had old dead D cells inside, but they hadn’t leaked out. 
  Check out the use-by date on them! Which means they were produced before that date. 
  Bought this flashlight just for the batteries…. $7.00

I would say yes it does. My 1943 D cells don’t have any voltage info.

Have a close look with a magnifier or loupe. It looks like there's a scratch in line with where the "1" would be. I found some very old D-size batteries that 'might' have been the same brand in an antique bicycle headlight, although that was a few years ago, so I don't recall for certain. I believe they were 1-1/2 volts.

Went and picked up some free rounds of wood for firewood. Perfectly cut to length...... enough to fill the 8' bed of my truck, so it was a decent amount. Brought it home and unloaded the rounds. Then we met two other couples at a newly-opened winery that is just up the road from us (www.langmanwinery.com)  They have a real chef running their kitchen and they have a good selection of menu items. The actual winery is in California and they ship product to beautiful NW Arkansas. I had THE BEST french dip sandwich that I have ever had..... then came home and relaxed.....

Yep, I can see it. 1.5v makes a lot more sense. A 1.0 volt flashlight would need a very fragile filament in its lightbulb.

Yes, the old hearing aid amplifier and batteries were in a box that hung from a strap around your neck.

Luckily I never had to use one but I remember people using them.

 Made my twice yearly trip to New Hampshire for ethanol-free fuel. Beautiful morning for a drive…just chugging along at 3MPH over the limit watching the wanna be race car drivers rip past me. 
  Few flurries of snow started coming down when I got close to the Vermont state line.

  Using my freshly purchased ethanol-free fuel I made my own 2 stroke fuel, something I haven’t done in YEARS! I’ve been buying the mixed fuel in gallon cans from hardware stores for years but it’s almost $30/ gallon around here . Convenient but super spendy! 
  Used the gallon can from my last purchase, so it’s even labeled correctly.

I've been mixing mine with the Stihl synthetic 2 stroke oil for a long time and have had good luck out of it.  Real gas no ethanol of course. Noticed your little transfer pump and wondering whats your thoughts on it. Been thinking about investing in one myself. Battery powered?

There's folks on YT that'll claim that's terrible for any engine. I don't recall why...

 Yep, battery powered, couple AA’s I think. It’s incredible and for such a small unit it really pumps quickly. Hefting up that 6 gallon container in the picture above is a pain in the butt, that little hand held pump is a back saver.

We've been camping since Tuesday last week.  It has been about 2 years since we've taken our Coleman FQ17 trailer out on a trip.  Parked it in a campground that has about 400 spots, an amusement park, a circle track, and a drag strip.  Not what one would call a destination spot like those that @ebinmaine choses.  But it is near our 20 acre wood.

 

The kids came to the woods on Sunday for an early Thanksgiving dinner - cooked out in the woods.  Saturday was wonderful - sunny and high 50's.  Sunday, not so much - cloudy, windy, drizzle, and in the 40s.  We ended up with the dinner table in the temporary garage where EJ the 8n takes refuge.

 

The good company and food overshadowed the weather, though.

 

Sorry, no pictures - too busy cooking and trying to keep warm.  It didn't help that our 30 year old Coleman propane camp stove gave up the ghost - the feed pipe into the stove didn't seal.  Got a small explosion and flames flashing out of the front right hand corner of the stove.  No, I didn't loose any arm hair or eyebrows.

 

I've been somewhat bothered with the Christmas music starting to play a couple weeks before Thanksgiving.  But, it has not bothered me near as much since we've had our family Thanksgiving meal Sunday.
