troutbum70 858 #1 Posted January 31, 2020 I have an issue with throttle on my electro 12, when I pull the throttle out when running it does not stay. As Soon as I let go of it it goes right back to an idle. And it is very touchy, does not take much pull to make a big difference and then it will be really cranked up. Only way to keep throttle out when running is to keep a small pair of vice grips on it. Everything seems to be in place, all linkages return springs and so on look to be correct. ebinmaine 73,010 #4 Posted January 31, 2020 I believe it was @pfrederi Paul that uses a clothespin or two to hold it's position? If you are doing Twist left. Pull or push. Twist right (to lock)... And it's not working.... You may need a new cable. Others could tell you how to find good replacements. @Achto or @squonk. ? I think it's pzep.biz. ???? Post a good pic. for the quick responding throttle, the cable might be connected to close to a pivot point which takes less cable movement to move it from idle to WO. Same for ant linkages too. Not use to pull throttle my others have levers. Well clothes pins is better than vice grips if they work. troutbum70 858 #9 Posted January 31, 2020 Update on throttle while out with dog for the night I went into shop and checked, it does have a locking throttle. The white is off the letters so pretty hard to see the writing, turn right to lock. This is one of those times a dumb question brings up a simple answer.
